Place the halved cherry tomatoes in a bowl. Season with salt, olive oil, mix in basil and garlic chopped thinly. Leave to rest for 30 minutes (or more)

Half the slice of bread and toast the bread. Optionally you can rub the bread with a clove of garlic for a stronger taste once is toasted

In a serving plate put the toasted bread and the tomatoes on top. Add some more olive oil on top
