Waffles Waffles (1)

Serves: 4

Ingredients:

  • 190 gr Plain flour
  • 3 tsp Baking powder
  • 80 gr Caster sugar
  • ½ tsp Salt
  • 225 ml Milk
  • 2 Eggs
  • 30 ml Vegetable oil
  • Chocolate or maple syrup
  • Icing sugar
  • Mixed fresh fruit

Method:

    Pre-heat the waffle maker

    Place flour, sugar, baking powder and salt in a large mixing bowl
  • 3
    In a separate bowl break the eggs add the milk and beat the mixture
  • 4
    Add the egg and milk mixture to the dry ingredients
  • 5
    Add the oil and mix all ingredients together until all the large lumps have been broken up. Do not over mix otherwise the waffles will be heavy when cooked

    Pour 3/4 of a cup of batter into the waffle maker and cook for 3-4 minutes or until golden brown and crispy on the outside
  • 7
    Serve hot with maple syrup. Also good served with sliced banana, strawberries or blueberries
