Serves: 4

Ingredients:

  • 400 gr White bread cut into chunks
  • 800 ml Hot milk
  • 3 Eggs
  • 200 gr Sugar
  • 1 tsp Vanilla extract
  • 100 gr Sultanas
  • 40 gr Butter
  • Pinch of salt
  • Custard

Method:

    Preheat the oven to 200C
  • 2
    In a large mixing bowl, put the bread in chunks and pour hot milk over the bread

    In a separate bowl mix eggs, sugar, vanilla and salt
  • 4
    Pour the egg mixture into the bread and mix it
  • 5
    Add the sultanas and mix
  • 6
    Melt the butter and put the butter into a baking dish
  • 7
    Put the bread mixture over the meted butter

    Bake for 50 minutes until firm and golden brown

    Serve with custard
