Soft Buns Soft Buns (1)

Makes: 6

Ingredients:

  • 440 gr Plain flour
  • 1 bolied potato
  • 220 ml Milk
  • 90 ml Seed oil
  • 12 gr Fresh yeast
  • 8 gr Sugar
  • 8 gr Salt
  • Egg
  • Extra milk

Method:

    In a large bowl sift half of the flour
  • 2
    Crumble the yeast in the flour and mix well, add salt and sugar and mix
  • 3
    Add the boiled potato, the milk and stir until all the flour is incorporated
  • 4
    Add the oil and mix well
  • 5
    Add the remaining of the flour

    Move to a floured surface and knead the dough for about 10 minutes until smooth and elastic

    Put the dough into a bowl, cover with a towel and leave in a dry place to raise for about 2 hours or until it is doubled in size

    Knock back, then divide into 6 balls, shape the balls to the form of a rounded bun

    Heat the oven at 280C

    Leave to prove for 30 minutes

    Wisk the egg with 2 tbsp of milk and brush the buns

    Cook in the oven for about 30 minutes until golden brown on top
