Crostata (Italian Tart With Jam)

Make: 6 slices
Ingredients:
225 gr Flour
80 gr Sugar
2 gr Baking powder
1 Egg
100 gr Butter
100 gr Jam
Pinch of salt

In a large bowl, gently whisk together flour, sugar and baking powder

Create a well in the middle and add slightly beaten egg and softened butter cut into pieces

Mix together

Put the mixture in a slightly floured surface and work the mixture to form a soft dough

Wrap in plastic and refrigerate for 30 minutes

Roll out to 0.5 cm thickness

Transfer to a pie plate of about 22 cm. Trim the plate of any extra dough. Fill the pastry shell with the jam

With the extra dough make strips to create a cross pattern on top

Bake in pre heated oven at 180°C for 30/35 minutes until golden
